Scratch 'n Sniff |

Adding a fruity fragrance to stamped images is easy with this tried-and-true technique. Try using cocoa or cinnamon for a different smell, or pigment ink for a more vivid color.

Ask Beate
Beate Johns answers your technique questions
Q: Barbara asked: "I finally started playing with my Encore™; inks (metallic gold and silver). They're awesome looking, but they don't seem to ever dry to a completely smudge-free state. I've tried leaving them overnight and also heat-setting, but the ink still slightly transfers to fingers when touched or rubbed. Do you have to seal it with something? Please let me know what you suggest. Thanks!"
A: I hardly use Encore ink for that reason. When I do, though, I heat-set the stamped image with my embossing tool, then wipe over it with a tissue. The safest way to set the image would be to emboss it with clear embossing powder. We have a thread with several hints about this problem in our technique forum.

Lisa said about the card organizer tutorial: This is SO beautiful, and you make it look so easy! I think it would be a wonderful thing to donate to our church auction (with cards!) You could also use a comb binding machine. Lots of offices have them."
