Ever curious about the beginnings of Splitcoaststampers? It went something like this:
Tracy: "I think I want to get one of those SU! demo web sites."
Daven: "I could build you something better you know."
Tracy: "I think I want to get one of those SU! demo web sites."
Daven: "No really, I could."
----- 500 hours go by -----
Daven: "See, nothing to it!"
Tracy: "I forget, what were you doing for me?"

We live in Vancouver, WA with our three girls. We started Splitcoaststampers in January, 2003 as an extension of Tracy's stamping business, originally with the intention of supporting her downline and whoever else wanted to stop by. There were no great expectations at the time, and only a single real objective - providing a place where people could gather and feel welcomed and comfortable. That's still our mission, and we're honored that you choose to spend your time here.

Jenn and Beate met and became friends in San Antonio. When we were looking for gallery help back in late 2003, Beate said "I've got a friend who could do really good with that". A few long email discussions later we had our gallery coordinator. And Beate was right!

After completely taking over the gallery Jenn was later instrumental in starting the Fan Club, and also an original design team member. Because oh yeah, she's a terrific stamper too. These days she's generally involved in just about everything happening within the community including coordinating the Weekly Inkling newsletter and overseeing operations of the forums and gallery.

Beate grew up in Germany but has lived in New York, Virginia, Illinois, Texas and now Florida since moving to the states. We like to think she's on the lam; Beate blames it on her husband's Air Force career.

In the early days of Splitcoast we didn't get much email (there weren't a lot of us here!). But we did hear from Beate, with frequent requests to add new gallery categories. That's because she's very prolific (as you might be cluing into if you've ever checked out her blog). Beate became our first team member, and today she authors many of the fabulous tutorials in the Resources section as well as helping to produce the Weekly Inkling newsletter.

Lori is the latest addition to the Splitcoast team, but we're not sure she's going to work out. Kidding, kidding! Personable, knowledgeable, and a great communicator, Lori has jumped right into the controlled chaos and we're excited and happy to have her.

Lori enjoys working with our fabulous group of advertisers, creating ad campaigns with psychic resonance.

Scott handles much of our behind-the-scenes technical stuff, from servers to databases to applications to programming. Splitcoast runs on Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP, and Scott brings the mail, baby.

Scott lives in Portland, OR. It can be chilly out here in the Pacific "Northwet" so Snap the Miniature Greyhound often wears a sweater.
